Mom's Crushed Banana Cake

½ cup shortening
1 ½ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup ripe banana pulp
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sour milk
1 ¾ cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar. Add well beaten eggs and banana. Dissolve soda in milk and add all other ingredients. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
