Apple Cake

4 grated apples
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
½ cup oil
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts (opt)

Glaze:
½ cup butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sugar
2 shakes nutmeg
½ cup canned milk

Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, then lower temp to 300° for additional 10 minutes. Cool a bit, then poke holes and pour glaze over cake.
