Carrot Cake

1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 cup raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
1 ½ cups oil
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 cups grated carrots
1 cup nuts

Mix all ingredients and pour into cake pan(s). Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes.
